Breast cancer survivors, community representatives, public health professionals, and healthcare providers meet monthly to plan and implement local activities in breast cancer control. Currently, the group is implementing a collaborative project, funded through a three-year grant from Lincoln’s Community Health Endowment (CHE), focused on breast, cervical and colorectal screening education. The group is currently recruiting and training Screening Advocates to reach out to peers, friends and family to encourage cancer screening.
The Alliance meets the second Monday of each month from 2:30-4:00pm in the 2nd Floor library of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department at 3140 N Street. Parking is available on the east and south sides of the building. The Alliance Chair is Danna Bacon. For more information or to join the Alliance, contact her by clicking here.
