Many dedicated individuals across the state are engaged in educational activities about breast health and breast cancer. These include community health workers and outreach staff with public health departments, local clinics and accredited cancer centers, and volunteers with local cancer coalitions and support groups. Much of this work is focused on reaching underserved populations, including rural women, women with incomes below $35,000, African American women and Latinas.
To connect with a breast cancer educator in your own community, or another, contact Lori Vidlak at 402.525.6973 or visit one of the pages in this section. Our goal is to share and duplicate successful program models across the state.
