Bright Pink is a national non-profit organization focusing on the risk reduction and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women while providing support for high-risk individuals.
“Brighten Up” educational sessions are 25 minute presentations about breast and ovarian health. Presentations focus on introducing Bright Pink, learning about breast and ovarian health basics (recognizing symptoms to act on, practicing early detection, reducing risk), then taking the steps to act.
The organization currently sponsors Bright Pink Outreach Support Groups for women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer, those currently battling or survivors of those cancers. Check out their Communities/Omaha page for Outreach Group dates and/or times or contact Denise Ibsen Cole, Bright Pink Education Ambassador for Nebraska, at DeniseC@bebrightpink.org for more information.
