“Mammo parties” are a great way to promote breast health awareness and screening for employees and friends in an educational and fun group atmosphere. This concept is catching on quickly in Nebraska as several health care facilities are actively promoting the special events.
CHI Health is offering mammograms for employees on specific dates at various locations in the Omaha metro area. The schedule was blocked off in advance for interested employees to call and set up an appointment and nurse navigators are on hand to provide breast health education. Events can be organized for outside groups and organizations and, depending on budget, little extras including giveaways, hand massages, etc, can be added.
Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI), located at 7601 Pioneers Blvd in Lincoln, conducts “Mammo Parties.” They work hand-in-hand with organizations and individuals in scheduling events at a time that is convenient for participants. In addition to breast cancer screening, AMI offers free massages, cupcakes and also promotes their exclusive skincare line. For more information, visit their website here.
