From the moment of diagnosis through end of life, Project Pink’d Inc. provides tools, resources and a strong network to strengthen and renew the mind, body and spirit of breast cancer survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa.
The Pink’d Helping Hand Program makes an immediate impact within the local community, helping to ease the financial burden for survivors going through treatment. Through their grant program, Project Pink’d works directly with the healthcare community to lend a helping hand to friends, family and neighbors diagnosed with breast cancer. They provide assistance for everyday necessities including rent/mortgage, insurance premiums, childcare expenses, transportation expenses, utility bills and medical bills.
The Pink’d Beauty Program helps survivors feel beautiful again. With a breast cancer diagnosis, often comes a change in physical appearance. Many lose their hair and experience changes to their skin and nails-all of which impact their self-identity and self-esteem. This program provides assistance with products that are often times not covered by insurance including wigs, Healing Hearts chemotherapy, radiation and surgical kits, lymphedema products, surgical camisoles, post-mastectomy bras and breast forms.
The Pink’d Renewal Program reminds women and men they are more than a survivor. With assistance focusing on emotional and physical well-being, survivors can choose to thrive and live their best life. Support includes financial assistance for counseling sessions, survivor renewal retreat, survivor outreach and wellness programs.
