Expressions of Art and Hope

Expressions of Art and Hope, free art classes for cancer patients and survivors, are held the second Monday of each month. The art classes, a collaboration of CHI St. Elizabeth and the Lux Center for the Arts, take place between 6:00-8:00pm at the Lux, 2601 N. 48th Street in Lincoln .

Upcoming classes for the months of May and June include the following:

Monday, May 8, 6-8 p.m. – Street Art and Spray Painted Stencils (Jen Deets):

Experiment with stencils, spray paint and wallpaper graphics. One wall at the LUX will be available for you to step out of your comfort zone and bring out your inner street artist. Come ready to work outside, make a mess and try new things! (In case of inclement weather, we will swap projects with June class)

Monday, June 12, 6-8 p.m. – Floral Canvas Painting (Kate Farneth):

Learn to paint flowers using acrylic paint! Canvases and floral images will be provided but you are welcome to bring fresh cut flowers and greenery from your garden as well.
